Sacred Heart Center has offered comprehensive education and support services for Latino families and individuals for over 12 years and we provide the children’s programs, transportation, language access, long-term support, and cultural affirmation that allow Latino individuals and families to overcome the barriers that prevent them from connecting their talents and skills to opportunities and resources. 

An adult student who begins in our literacy program may then work their way into our Spanish GED program, and work with our Financial Resources Navigator to apply for an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN). Our local international and refugee community may take a Citizenship class, and also receive support in career navigation. The goal is to provide students a path to reach higher education, employment opportunities, and financial stability.

Sacred Heart Center supports individual success but also recognizes the importance of meeting the needs of the family. Our Pasitos Exitosos program geared at preparing young children for school runs simultaneously with our adult education classes. This allows both the child and parent to benefit from our Family Literacy learning program. Our summer Cielito Lindo program gives children the opportunity to engage in educational and fun summer activities. Our College and Career Bound program helps Latinos in high school prepare for and explore higher education opportunities.

Our Community Initiatives portfolio provides wraparound services either in-house or in collaboration with community partners who share our vision of building a stronger community. We serve over 20,000 Latinos each year.
