Purpose and Scope of Job:

Reporting to the Executive Director (“ED”), the Director of Administration is a member of Sacred Heart Center’s (“SHC”) senior management team. The incumbent will implement the infrastructure and systems needed to support strategic objectives. She or he will be responsible for the oversight of administrative systems including human resources, information technology, recruiting, and physical infrastructure. As a member of the senior management team, the Director of Administration will be involved in a range of strategic planning and internal initiatives. Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):

Administrative Leadership and Management

• lead the development of organizational standard operating procedures, policies, and an implementation strategy to achieve the mission of the organization;
• implement the standard operating procedures and policies through the administration of the organization and its activities;
• implement a performance management system to hire, onboard, and evaluate staff according to personnel policies;
• Manage human, financial, and information resources in an integrated and strategic manner;
• Ensure that all departments, staff, and volunteers are operating according to relevant policies and procedures;
• Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for SHC staff, to further individual staff development and overall organizational goals;
• Oversee maintenance of SHC’s facilities and infrastructure as well as improvements to same, through working with Sacred Heart Parish and Sacred Heart Center Operations Coordinator in order to create a welcoming and inviting space that upholds the dignity of the community we serve;

Non-Essential Functions (performed on an infrequent basis):
Participates with all staff in organization-wide activities/functions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and at least 4-5 years of experience with human resources, administration, or other related experience
• Advanced proficiency in Spanish and English required, bicultural
• Demonstrated experience in hiring, recruiting, managing, developing, coaching, and retaining individuals and teams
• Deep understanding of human resources, employee performance work plans and evaluation
• Strong management skills and experience in managing complex, multifaceted initiatives resulting in measurable successes
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
• Technologically literate, with experience overseeing information technology staff and/or vendors
• Proficient in using technology as a management reporting tool and experience working with staff to develop and implement program evaluation systems
