Famigos
Transition program for newly arrived Latino high school students focusing on mental health and building community.
Currently serving Meadowbrook High School in Chesterfield County.
Casa Lapiz
Middle School Art-based program centered on community healing through the arts.
Currently serving River City and Boushall Middle Schools in the City of Richmond.
College & Career Bound
Helping Latino high school students identify next steps in their lives after graduation.
Currently serving Hermitage High School in Henrico County >/p>
Pasitos & Kids of the Corazón
Currently available with enrollment in adult education courses at Sacred Heart Center, we offer social and academic enrichment programs for Latino children ages 18 months to 12 years old.
Registration fee: $10 per child.
PASITOS EXITOSOS: Available for students attending the morning schedule, this program is designed for children aged 18 months to 4 years.
KIDS OF THE CORAZÓN: Available for students attending the afternoon-evening schedule, this program is designed for children aged 5 to 12 years.
Abriendo Puertas
A program designed to help parents understand and support their children’s development and learning.
COST: One-time registration fee-Free.
SCHEDULE: Mondays and Wednesdays Mornings, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
IN-PERSON Only.
“Abriendo Puertas” is a program created by and for Latino parents in their role as family leaders and as their child’s first and most influential teacher in the home, which serves as their first school.
Using a two-generation approach, the program aims to increase the number of Latino children in the United States who enter school ready to learn and capable of succeeding in life.
Cielito Lindo
Summer Day Camp for Latino youth ages 5-12.
Open to children from surrounding counties/cities.
